The Session’s fear of the truth coming to light forces them to take a harsh and uncharitable stance…
During a recent evening service RE Scott Keesee led the evening prayer. This is the same Elder Keesee that was recently shown by the SJC panel to have completely failed to prove his case against RE Dudt. This prayer was pre-prepared as he read nearly the entire thing, showing that this was clearly a pre-meditated attempt to convey a message on the heels of the recent e-mail communication to the congregation.
And what was that message? Well, first here is what RE Keesee prayed verbatim:
“Father, your word says good people obtain favor from the Lord, but He condemns those who devise wicked schemes. Lord, I pray that the wicked Satanic vitriol and gossip which comes from people hiding behind websites and social media, who are against this church and it’s appointed leaders will be stopped. Forgive them. Save them from their wickedness. Judge them accordingly. Your word says in Romans about those with depraved minds. Just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind so that they do what ought not to be done. Father I pray that you will save those with depraved minds. If they already have been given over to Satan, destroy them.”

Wow, what sentiment from one of this church’s supposed shepherds! In lieu of cursing “people hiding behind websites and social media,” might RE Keesee do better to introspectively study how Jesus rebuked the Pharisees in Matthew 23. “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.” (Matthew 23:13). For alas, this Session has “neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness” (Matthew 23:23). This Session would gladly declare that anyone who might disagree with the Session is in league with the Devil when they know full well that a Presbytery Judicial Commission and a SJC Judicial Panel have found their actions to be unconstitutional, uncharitable, and even un-American.
What blindness has come over this Session that one of their number could even utter this prayer?
The sad truth is that the leadership of Midway Presbyterian Church is “like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean” (Matthew 23:27). They spread false and misleading information, without any proof, to maintain their veneer of godliness. Instead of seeking the lost sheep, this Session would rather willingly accept and encourage the narrative that they are turned over to Satan. In stark contrast, God longs for His people to come to Him and find forgiveness.
This prayer demonstrates a complete and utter misunderstanding of the situation at hand. The Session, through its fact-free communications, endless and baseless trials against those who oppose the senior Pastor, refusal to uphold the findings of higher courts, and strategic intentional manipulation of the Lord’s courts, are the ones spreading the vitriol and gossip that tears this church asunder. This site, while imperfect, does document and back up all factual claims with documentation, in stark contrast to the Session’s misleading communications. This website is, by its very nature, not against this church. It exists in many ways to keep this church from stumbling by encouraging transparency and reminding the congregation of their corporate responsibility to hold their leaders accountable. This website likewise does not war with the church’s appointed leaders, rather it wars with the error and falsehoods which have divided this body.
One might remind RE Keesee that it was he who was shown to have falsely led the charge against this church’s appointed leaders, namely RE Dudt. He is also part of the contingent, led by David Hall’s latest prosecutorial scapegoat, Deacon Rick Griffin, that continues to seek to remove Elders Barnett, David, and Scott through his support of baseless litigation. So, take an honest look at RE Keesee’s prayer and ask yourself which party is it that has been given over to depraved minds: a website that fights for truth and transparency toward the restoration of purity, or the Session with its lack of transparency and ceaseless war on anyone that opposes the senior Pastor’s agenda.
