According to the ground rules established by the Midway Session, it is reported that trial “sessions” are limited to a few hours unless the Session votes unanimously to extend the duration.
Because it is unlikely that any serious trial could be held in less than three hours, the trials of the ruling elders who have been indicted and suspended will require multiple sessions.
The next session for RE David is scheduled for Monday during the week of Christmas. This will be his second session. It is unknown how many sessions the trials will last. The first trial session was held in November. The second will have been held about a month later.
Each accused elder’s trial could last months at this pace.
