DAYS WITHOUT AN APOLOGY: 7

Seven days have passed since the Standing Judicial Commission overturned RE Phil Dudt’s conviction.

A Christian would assume the same session that announced Elder Dudt’s conviction to the congregation within two hours of their all night trial would show the same courtesy after that conviction was overturned. But that hasn’t happened.

A Christian would assume that a court that attempted to destroy a man’s reputation by suspending him from office for 18 months and dragging him through the mud, would say “sorry”. But there have been no apologies.

A Christian would assume the Midway Session would have a time of inward inspection after the SJC unanimously ruled they made 14 errors in the Dudt case including that the charges had no basis in Scripture. But there is no evidence of that.

A Christian would assume the Midway Session would drop the charges against Elders Scott, Barnett, and David after the SJC ruled that the Talley Resolution, which is the basis for those charges, is both unbiblical and unconstitutional. But the trial continues.

Everyone who is arrogant in heart is an abomination to the Lord; be assured, he will not go unpunished.
